Teacher trainers from the UK

Volunteer teacher trainers from Great Britain at the Maria Beatrice Center, for the Specialization of staff in Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy, with practice and emphasis on the case studies of the Center’s beneficiary children.

40 therapists of the Center participated in a total of 320 hours of theoretical and practical training, in a Project carried out over a period of 3 years, 2016 – 2018.

TOPICS of General and Team Management:

  • The unitary approach of Occupational Therapy in relation to Physiotherapy
  • Continuous Therapeutic Evaluation, Initial and Throughout Therapy, as a fundamental factor for a correct therapeutic approach
  • The correct and honest professional approach of the therapist in the relationship with the family of the beneficiary child

Result: Implementation of the Conduct and Good Practices Guide for a fair and honest professional relationship between the therapist and the beneficiary child’s family.

Courses are customized according to the case study of the Center’s beneficiary children Maria Beatrice and I refer to the administration of the medical act, the analysis and evaluation of the child’s capabilities in order to maximize the benefits of the therapies, the correct positioning of the child in special devices (chairs and uprighting frames), during and outside the therapy, locomotor skills, hygiene and care of the child with needs specials, feeding and posturing.
